Hitman Blood Money review

Whilst I recognize the merits of this game and it's unique (at the time) gameplay, the PC port is just simply a bad port. I had multiple issues getting the game to work at the start - but I excused that for it's age. I also really wanted to get into the game but couldn't because of poor controls and lack of controller support despite being a console port (and the functionality for controller support is still hidden in the game and can be partially activated by modding the game, however it doesn't work well enough to be practical). Overall this game suffers immensely from the bad port and ultimately left me feeling ripped off. If you're adamant about playing this game, I recommend you purchase it on console where it was clearly meant to be played.

Nice stealth game, but not for everyone

By lucido posted 18th April

At least, not for me: the missions are nice and the gameplay is adequate, but I ended up searching for the walkthrough on Youtube - something I very rarely do. Some missions are filled with too many details I couldn't get myself to care about, and after a few hours I was more bored than entertained. After finishing the game, I never played it again. For a better stealth game, I would recommend Velvet Assassin - also cheap, much better graphics, and great WW2 atmosphere - although not a lot of replay value as well.

The best Hitman game, or so I have been told. This is actually the only one I have played myself but it is indeed great. The missions are varied and there are many different ways to complete the assignment on each level.

Highly recommended!

Blood Money is the series real first mistake popped up it's ugly little goblin head: the fact that sure, you CAN sneak around like the other Hitman games, but you might as well don't and just kill 'em all with machine pistols, shotguns and other loud noises. The stealth wasn't any longer the main part of the game, eventhough you could play it like that too. Still, this is a solid game and get's a 3/5 from me.

Had this game on the Xbox, have just bought this for PC through GamersGate. This is a stunning addition to the Hitman Franchise, if you love hitman 2 then purchase this game.

Hitman: Blood Money is the fourth game of the Hitman series. The graphic is very good. If you have already played the other Hitman games, the graphic will have an important impact in the game, since the others Hitman games (Hitman: Codename 47, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin, Hitman: Contracts) have a graphical style much different (especially Hitman: Codename 47 and Hitman 2: Silent Assassin). The gameplay is very good, even if sometimes the controls are a bit slow. The difficult of the game is high, already at the first level (the tutorial). Overall, Hitman: Blood Money is a great game. My rating is five stars.

The game that just keeps on giving.

I bought this title back when it was on sale, and let me tell you this game is fantastic in every way you can imagine.

Each mission unique in setting, targets and approaches. You won't find it boring at all: from assassinating an Arabian prince in Las Vegas, to crashing a hillbilly wedding in the USA's deep south, each mission brings something to the table.

Want to run and gun? You can do that. Just equip your dual Ballers and give 'em hell.

Want to make it look like an accident? Plan well, and they won't even know they were killed.

It's such a fun game to play, my son and I really enjoy it.

I bought this game during the sale as I had heard of the Hitman series and that Blood Money was the best of them, so decided that spending 3 quid on a whim wouldn't be that bad even if I didn't like it. Turns out I loved it. The first thing I have to point out is that it is pretty hard, I found that even the tutorial was more challenging than many games I have played (then again I may just suck at the game ). Secondly it is very fun, like many stealth games you can get into some quite tense places where there's an armed guard 1m away from you (for example) and even on the lower difficulties they can kill you rather easily. No regenerating health or way to heal makes the game more tense and difficult. The AI is also quite good as they have well coded line of sight and if they lose sight of you and you hide, then they don't magically know where you are like some games which makes it more realistic. Overall it is a great game with decent graphics even by modern standards and is very well polished.

One of those games, they don't make anymore. Brilliant freedom of choice. Myriad ways of solving a level. Hardly any flaws.

Hitman Blood Money Review - A Refined Experience

By Zalmoxis posted 9th December 2011

The Hitman series, comprised of mission based stealth games in the spirit of titles such as Deus Ex and Splinter Cell, has seen many a year by now. The fifth installment of the series is in production just now. While the very first Hitman game would be seen as almost unplayable by most people today - neither graphics nor interface have aged well - the Hitman series has seen steady improvement over the years, making it viable to recommend these games starting with Hitman 2. Hitman Blood Money is no exception; indeed it represents the pinnacle of quality in Hitman games to date.

A gameplay aspect inherited from Deus Ex is the broad choice of ways you have to reach your goal. Being observant and exploring the premises around your subject's location is well rewarded. "Just what use could this bottle of chloroform found at the vet's have?"

At times, playing around with your options in a mission can have unforeseen consequences. Just remember this: When hiding unconscious people in a garbage truck - and you want to keep them _just_ unconscious - it's advisable to stay away from any levers and buttons said truck might have...

One advantage Hitman Blood Money has over any games from the Splinter Cell series is the feedback towards you about your performance in a mission. Were you silent? Did you do harm to many uninvolved people? Did you run amok, guns blazing? Where Splinter Cell simply checks for reached mission objectives, Hitman gauges your quality of work. After each mission you get to look at page one of a newspaper where you can check how much of the events in a mission reached public knowledge, which is highly immersive.

To some, this game, this study in murder may seem rather grim compared to games where you are the hero on the good side. Hitman Blood Money alleviates that a bit by assuring you during mission briefings that your subject won't be missed by many. There are weapons dealers, child molesters, generally scummy types that you will have to take care of. You will not meet many saints out there, that's for sure.

In short: Get his game!

An extremely great game for the silent type players, great customization options, awesome kill mechanics, etc. Definetly worth buying at sale price, & still worth it at normal price. A must buy for any fan of stealth killers or shooters.

I would definitely recommend this game for anyone who's looking for a challenge. You get to choose whether or you want go in with stealth or just barge in with your guns blazing wild.

The graphics are pretty good considering this was made in '06. 4.4/5 Rating for sure.

A good game with a lot of mission to complete. Even it kind of a decent game with decent graphic, but it still fun to play and to complete the mission will take a lot of effort and skill and doesn't easy as you think. The best thing about this game is you can take your mission by your own choice within using stealth or just shoot all the way. Neither will accomplished your mission. So you don't think twice because this game is good and value for your money

Hitman is a really excellent game. It's extremely open ended and you get to choose how to complete each mission. Shoot everyone? Sneak everywhere? It's your choice!!! It's SO GREAT!!

Graphics: AMAZING

Gameplay: AMAZING

Story: AMAZING

This game just plain rocks...

I love the Hitman series and blood money is no different. The thrill of Hitman in my opinion is the amount of ways that you can complete a mission. Want to be the stealthy chameleon assassin, or do you want to go guns blazing, essentially it is up to you.

Hitman Blood Money also has interesting missions, even though usually the objectives are the same (kill him);the ways that you can accomplish the goal is up to you and your creativity. You will feel more rewarded if you play more creatively to accomplish your goal.

The only negative I can think of is how you are able to change into clothes and the guards will just look at you and cant figure out that you just shot the other guard a minute ago. (even though your the only bald guy in the area with a bar code on your neck...) but it is a video game so it makes the game much more playable.

If you are looking to buy this game and are new to the series then I say BUY it because its the best looking and implemented of the series. I love Hitman and hope there will be another in the future.

Ahhh... the last installment of the Hitman franchise! Such a great game, it really deserves to be bought by anyone who stumbles upon it...

Graphics: amazingly good for being already 4 years old...

Sound: Great, especially the music: it will be one of the most memorable things you'll get from this game.

Gameplay: Superb! This game truly makes you feel like a cunning Hitman who preys on his unsuspecting victims.

Overall: 5/5

This game is very nice, you can act like a ninja and kill your target without draw attention or pick up a weapon and kill everybody who cross your way, but the important thing is get your job done, this game is cool.
