This could had been a awesome game, but it was rushed and unfinished.

Boring campaign, impossible missions, units blocked by buildings and no skirmish mode.

Save your money to something else.

A bit sad that this game was quite a dissappointment. It has much better graphic, but also way too many bugs. It was basically unfinished and rushed out to the market. It does get better after patches and turning Gold, but you just can't compare it with the old classics.

Buggy as hell. Like big cockroach bugs.

Graphics look great on my 17" macbook. But the bugginess makes it unplayable. Soldiers are getting stuck on castle walls, Or I send them up a tower, and they fall through the floor and get stuck down on the ground. Ahhhh. so frustrating. But if they ever get around to fixing these bugs on the mac side(I believe they've come out with several updates for PC version) then this would be a great game. 1 star as is

Solid game with a few lingering issues. I have loved the stronghold series since its inception. THis game needed some patches to get off the ground, but now is in a solid state and very playable.

I love the balance of economic and military needs. The attacks can be brutal on harder levels and really test your mettle. I love holding on by just a few units once that last attack comes.

A great RTS w9iht a few flaws, but worth it especially if you like the medieval time period.

Well well well. It seems like Firefly studios have become some greedy bastards. They didnt listened to their fans/paying customers even they said they have interest in what they say, and want. So they lie on top of rushing this uncomplete game out the door, just to make a dollar or two. They have not any skirmish mode in this game, so if you waste your money on this piece of crap, then you are for sure going to regret it. If you dont like multiplayer and the extremly poor campaign is getting boring after thirty minutes, then there is no other option than to delete this garbage from your harddrive. They have included a socalled "freebuild" option, but that generousity only means you can build a big castle with alot of soldiers. And when you are finished- if you havent strangeled yourself with the electrical cord of pure boredom first, then absolutely nothing happens.

So maybe i seems like a frustrated person here?! Yes i am, i will NEVER NEVER NEVER buy another Firefly game again before i read a positive review first.

Positive points: Good graphic. Nice atmosphere.

Negative points: No skirmish. Very poor campaign.

-------------

Customers: We want Skirmish!

Firefly: The game wasn't built for Skirmish

Customers: ..Kay, but we want Skirmish!

Firefly: Yes we heard that, but the game wasn't built for Skirmish

Customers: Fine, but we still want Skirmish

Firefly: We know that, but the game wasn't built for Skirmish

Customers: We understand that, but ..we still want Skirmish

Firefly: The game isn't built with Skirmish in mind

Customers: WE KNOW THAT! However, we still want it. Get it?

Stronghold 3 was a game i was expecting to be really good (I loved the older ones) and therefor i am happy that it goes back to the old style of gameplay. But the game isn't all that good. To be honest, it's just a mess. It's not very well optimized, it got some rather game breaking bugs (For example a click bug making it hard to do what you want) Also, it seems like many of the people in towns can get sad enough to leave your town, just by a small amount of rain. It feels like it was a little rushed. Some more bug fixing could really help and probably even safe the game. But it is a huge letdown for me atleast and i wont recommend it for anyone ATM.

I always was a big fan of the SH series, played them all. But this one is just not good. My favourite mode (skirmish) is not there. I never buy a new stronghold again for the full-price. For the fans of the castle builder game go buy stronghold 1 or crusader.

This is quite frankly the worse game ever and has left me feeling very decieved by game companies. I am a fairly big spender when it comes to game but thanks to companies like this one, others will suffer as i will now sit back and wait for sales and 12 months worth of patching before even trying a game.

It only gets 1 star cos i have too and I have requestred a refund and suggest others to do so also.

At the moment how things stand this is by far the worst release of FireFly, StrongHold 3 (SH) is a miss of the 21 century !

I am a fan and have played all SH series but this is miserable, SH 1, 2 are better.

Graphics 2001, game play worse, NO Skirmish, No CO-OP as stated in some Press releases.

The amount of bugs cant even begin to explain, Do NOT Purchase or u will be paying 50 euros for beta release this needs another year or two and a major overhaul.

Needs lots of patching... graphic glitches... and the most important thing no time elapse :(

They screwed up the Series since Stronghold 2 and Stronghold 3 isn´t much better

Disappointing. Stronghold 2 was much better. This game is filled with bugs (intermittent mouse overs, unable to attack ...sometimes, choppy). The graphics tried to be pretty and versatile, but seem bland and boring compared to SH2. Building placement is annoying because it now takes every pixel into account so you have to slowly shift back and forth until it fits just right. No rally points on recruiting troops? When you send troops to the top of a building they sometimes fall off the stairs and get trapped in the walls. Seriously did they beta test this?
