Serious Sam 2 review

The Serious Sam franchise is a string of THOSE games. The sort of games you either love or hate, because there's nothing to them except shooting stuff. After several years, the formula hasn't changed, only the set pieces have got bigger and the shooting more satisfying.

Some people will be disappointed by the lack of depth in SS2, because it's shallow as Hell and it's proud of it. The game is a fast paced arena combat shoot'em up, like the older Doom and Duke Nukem titles. Its all about the action, not the story.

If you don't like the idea of being charged by freaky creatures you have to shotgun in the face, this ma not be for you. I find this fun, though.

As a single player game it's worth about 70%, but when you get coop with a few mates, oh boy, the fun really starts...Just don't turn off friendly fire and see what I mean! Worth 90% for the coop alone. It's quite good looking, there are about a gazzilion monsters to kill. Just about every weapon type you can think of.

YOU NEED MORE AMMO!!!!

Another Fine Serious Sam game...

Tons of Enemies...CHECK

Arbitrary Story line...CHECK

Awesome Boss Fights...CHECK

Facepalm-Worthy One Liners...CHECK

All in all, this is a good game and should be purchased by any person who is slightly or anyone who likes Serious Sam.

Probably the worst of the Serious Sam line up. They lost Focus on what made the first game so good. The idea of adding vehicles to parts of the game sounds good but it just never pays off in fun. You Never really get that sense of being overwhelmed by bad guys like you do in the first one either. Would only pick up if you can find it on a super sale.

The game is flawless, i would highly recommend this game to anyone whom loves shooters, to be more precise this game still beats newer titles like battlefield or Deus Ex (in my opinion)

After several hours of playing I must say SS2 is not a bad game. It only looks like the developers weren't sure who is their target player. The game is rather brutal and full of action and crude humour like its predecessor, but the childish graphics is like from cartoon for preschoolers.

Gameplay is very similar to the First and Second Encounters of which I enjoyed very much. I'm sure I will finish Serious Sam 2, because it is the last part of the series I haven't played before, but if it has more "serious" art style it would be much better.
