SUGURI review
Bought Suguri a while back, and didn't regret it. It certainly is very niche (and japanese) in it's style, but at it's core it's a very solid "bullet hell" game.
The soundtrack that comes with it is also extremely good, if you're into electronic music. I enjoyed the game, but I found myself getting my money's worth more out of the soundtrack.
I must say though that if you're not a fan of nintendo hard or memorising patterns, it's not the game for you. I struggled just to get past the first level.
Lastly, a note to Xonar owners: Turn off GX or the game will CTD on start.
SUGURI review
Well, I played this game for a bit. For a $10 game, it's pretty good for a time-waster, if you like the genre. Warning: the difficulty level in this game is rather high- there is a reason they call these games "bullet hell" shooters. People who have slow reflexes may not enjoy this much.
That said, it seems to do things well, but it is a bit no-frills. Basically, you're getting what you're paying for- which is a game with brutal difficulty and lots of reflexes required, but fun if you can do it.
If you're a fan of the Touhou series, you'll probably like this. The closest western comparison I can think of would be a game like the old Raiden games in the arcade, or Gradius for the NES (but a lot harder then Gradius)
