Get this one over arma operation arrowhead and arma 2. It will save you 7 dollars or more during sale and its what you need to play dayz with. Get this deal while it lasts.

This will make your ArmA 2 experience much better if you only have the free version. This grants you access to all player-made mods, such as DayZ and ACE. It is also worth getting if you just want an authentic Army experience from your own computer chair. This is a must buy for all shooter fans.

This game could have been the best military game out there, but it always would either lag me out of a server or just have terrible fps. When it is running fine it is a great simulation that keeps you on the edge of your seat, but that is almost never. Like most people, I bought this for mods like DayZ and ACE. ARMA is great for those mods, but don't play it if you get OCD about fps drops.

Definitely worth picking up the bundle for Arma II and Operation Arrowhead - plus it makes you have MUCH easier access to the majority of the mods out there - which is the main reason people are picking up this game so rapidly. Definitively go with the bundle for DayZ!

I am not even going to lie, I have not even touched the actual game. I bought this because of the Day Z mod. I love games that are modifiable, they bring so much more depth and replay-ability to a game. I have no doubt, given what I see the engine is capable of, that ARMA II in and of itself is an intense gritty combat simulation, but the Day Z mod takes this to a whole other level. If you love zombie games, buy ARMA II Combine Operations so you can play Day Z! Accurate combat, a persistent world in which resources(food, water, ammo, medical supplies, weapons, etc) are limited and you have to contend with player characters that chose to be bandits that hunt other players at the same time you have to worry about zombies.

I will of course update this review when I get around to playing ARMA II CO itself, but for now I must return to Day Z...I conduct counter-bandit operations. ;)
