AI War Fleet Command

"You are outgunned. You are massively outnumbered. You must win." These are your orders.

Humanity has already fought its war against the machines -- and lost. AI death squads stand watch over every planet and every wormhole, the few remaining human settlements are held captive in orbiting bubbles, and the AIs have turned their attention outward, away from the galaxy, to alien threats or opportunities unknown.

This inattention is our only hope: a small resistance, too insignificant even to be noticed by the AI central command, has survived. These are the forces you will command. The AI subcommanders will fight you to the death when they see you -- but your glimmer of opportunity comes from quietly subduing those subcommanders without alerting central processing to the danger until it's too late.

You do have a few things going in your favor. Your ships are much faster. You have safe AI routines to automate defenses and mining outposts. You have production techniques that can churn out fully-outfitted unmanned fighters in seconds. There will never be more than a few thousand of your ships versus tens of thousands of theirs, but through careful strategy you must somehow reach and destroy the heavily-guarded AI cores.

Go forth into the galaxy, steal AI technology, recapture those planets you must in order to achieve your ends, and save what remains of humanity. But draw too much attention to yourself, and the full might of the AI overlords will come crashing down.

Key features:

  • Space-based RTS, single player or up to 8 player co-op.
  • Powerful emergent AI that retreats, probes defenses, and surprises even veterans with intelligent tactics.
  • 30,000+ ships at a time on 10-120 simultaneous planetary battlefields.
  • Different Every Time: 16 billion procedural maps, each with specific units.
  • A focus on deep strategy with nearly no micromanagement.

AI War The Zenith Remnant

Every planet is a choice.  Every choice has a consequence.  The Zenith Remnant is the first expansion to Arcen Games' hit space-based indie RTS/4X hybrid, AI War: Fleet Command.  This expansion includes a massive amount of new content that bring the galaxy to life in exciting ways.  Capturables, special AI ships, and ancient alien artifacts litter the cosmos, making your choices as a player more varied than ever.  Do you risk total war with the AI by capturing and rebuilding a massive golem?  Do you procure defensive superweapons from Zenith traders?

Maybe you’d like to finally be able to build the powerful Core ships that the AI has long used -- or the all-new experimental ships with strange and powerful abilities.  Befriend the dangerous alien Dyson Sphere by helping it against the AI forces, or sneak around it to avoid incurring its wrath (that thing is moody).  If you see a Devourer Golem, don’t forget to run -- preferably as it pummels your enemies.  Any path you take, there are consequences; AI War is known for being heavily strategic even amongst strategy games, and The Zenith Remnant takes it to new heights.

Key features:
    *  122 new ships, including:
o 14 new ship classes with a variety of abilities.
o 7 massive capturable "Golem" ships.
o Dozens of other new capturables, including “experimental” ships.
    * 12 new AI Types.
    * 4 Zenith alien minor factions (NPCs).
    * Over 40 minutes of new in-game music tracks.
    * Several new map styles.
    * Several new AI behaviors and many related special AI weapons.

AI War: Children of Neinzul

The Neinzul aliens are an insectoid race of perpetual "younglings," who live for an extremely short span before dying and being superseded by fully-aware and vicious replacements. The Neinzul are organized into localized "Enclaves" that form mini-collectives with their own personalities, goals, and desires. In this second expansion to AI War, players face off against the Neinzul minor factions, against new AI types in general, and enlist the help of the friendlier members of this new alien presence.

The new Enclave Starships bring a long-awaited feature to AI War: mobile space docks, including variants that go all the way up to mark IV. Optionally, for those players who felt that the normal types of AI in the game weren't challenging enough for them already, there are new Hybrid Hives that bring an all-new-to-AI-War type of AI structure to the game. Hybrid hives are part Neinzul and part AI, consisting of loose fleets organized around the Enclave Starships. Hybrid hives have various personalities and goals, and might work together or might go it alone. They are far more aggressive than the regular AI, they gain in power over time, and they can even recapture planets. For advanced players who want to try their hand at a whole new kind of AI War experience, the Hybrid Hives provide more cut-throat opposition than ever.

Child's PlayChilds Play

When you purchase AI War: Children Of Neinzul, you're not only getting an exciting new expansion, you're also supporting an important cause. Arcen Games has partnered with the Child's Play charity, pledging 100% of the profits from sale of Children of Neinzul (excepting any taxes and distributor fees) to helping sick kids in need.

Key Features:

  • 36 new ships, including:
5 new ship classes with a variety of abilities.
Enclave Starships and Regeneration Chambers for direct unlock.
      6 new AI special weapons.
  • 6 new AI Types.
  • 3 Neinzul alien minor factions (NPCs).
  • Devastating new Hybrid Hives AI plot.
  • 3 new in-game music tracks.
  • Two new map styles: X and Concentric Circles.

AI War Light Of The Spire

The Spire are coming...

Ravaged by their recent encounters with the same AIs that pushed humanity to the brink of extinction, the Spire are an alien race that have also been all but destroyed. However, while the AIs were successful in their surprise attack against the Spire, the Spire are far more powerful than even the AIs seem to have realized. The Zenith were broken-down and ancient when humanity encountered them, but the Spire were at the height of their deadly power until quite recently.

Now the splintered remains of their race are regrouping, and entering the galaxy with a vengeance. Their attitude toward humanity, who after all spawned the AIs that harmed the Spire so, is unclear. Proceed with caution.

For the exhaustive list of features, please see this page on the wiki.

Key Features That Will Be Coming:

  • 180 new ships, including new "spirecraft" ships (larger than starships, smaller than golems).
  • Nine new bonus ship classes featuring massive starship-like spire ships.
  • New Defender campaign type that allows for an all-new way to play shorter sessions.
  • New AI weapons: Beachheads AI Plot, 4 core guard posts, and 10 guardians.
  • Exciting new Fallen Spire story-based campaign-within-a-campaing. Alternate way to win!
  • New in-game music tracks.

AI War Alien Bundle review

Fun game, well made but very hard to play. The tutorial is a little confusing in parts but if you understand the game it is much more enjoyable, but 3* because of the bad tutorial and the ui wasn't very good. Game seems perfect for experienced players but for a noob like me it wasn't as fun as it could have been with better instructions.

This game is a massive, spiraling fractal. Deciphering it is challenging, but rewarding. This is the deepest - and largest - strategy game I've ever played. Simply put, an amazing title.

A brilliant game, in a brilliant bundle.

If your looking to try out AI Wars get this bundle. The original on its own feels a bit like a demo. The expansions add massive depth to the game, from prioritizing planets to adding great new ships; such as mobile shields and the spire-crafts.

Only downsides i can think of are, the AI home worlds are practically impossible to conquer by all but hardcore players. It might be easier with co-op play but this appears to be direct connect only as i have yet to find a server. Bit disheartening not to win long games :( lol.

Recommended game.

AI War Alien Bundle review

Nice concept, dozens of types of AI especially with the new dlc and patches. The game is very complex, deep and almost too realistic and good for hardcore strategy gamers. It's nice to start out small and then very satisfying to bring the fight to the AI though sometimes it feels like the AI is just too powerful in this game. Graphics is OK and not fantastic but the great number of units in a single fight make up for it.

I love complex strategy games, were you have to keep all the little things in mind if you want to win. In the beginning you will be overwhelmed with infos and details, but the learning curve is rising very fast.

AI War Alien Bundle review

AI War is a great game. Fighting alone or with friends against a powerful AI that will surprise you time and time again is a great experience that I have yet to get out of any other strategy games. Admittedly it is not for everyone, but if grand strategy and space battle with thousands of ships are your thing, you can do a lot worse. I would recommend that you try out the demo first to make sure you enjoy the game. From there you can upgrade and continue right on playing, or get this bundle, which in my opinion is well worth the money. The expansions add loads of new units, factions, AI types, etc. that increase not only your options, but also gives the AI some new tricks. If you don't want to make this large of commitment AI war + zenith remnant is also a good place to start out.
