Activation code does not work

Hello

When I type the activationcode, and then pres activate, a text saying please wait turns up. After som time, it goes away. Then the only option is to press "back". Then the game terminates. It is not possible. Please help.

Have you given the game access through your firewall?

yes does sound like your anti virus is blocking the process,do disable and try again.

Thanks, but no, does not help. And I get a message about wrong code if I make an error when typing, so I think there is a connection.

According to the Rockstar support pages it should begin downloading a patch after successfully activating (http://support.rockstargames.com/entries/20606127-l-a-noire-pc-installation-instructions). There is a link on that page so you can submit queries to them regarding activation.

Have you tried running the game in administrator mode or turning off UAC, in case Windows is preventing the activation from completing? You could also check that it's trying to connect to the servers by disconnecting from the internet before trying to activate and see if it gives you an error.

@calclif - system requirements are there for a reason as they are supplied by the developer/publisher and not gamersgate so are accurate,it's not a good idea to bad mouth anyone here,so if you don't like the service then just don't use it,many 1000's of people and purchases are made without any problems,console versions are quite mainstream compared to pc version and only have a limited spec whereas pc do not.

these are full retail games and NOT low quality,posting your specs with help no end in deciding whether your system can run them at high quality,let's hope that Raychseldon managed to solve it as it was them we were trying to help.

First thing I tried was turning of UAC and running like adm, before I posted. No computerwiz, but usually manage to fix these kind of things.

when the activation takes place and fails usually it is anti virus or firewall that interferes with the process so shutting them down allows it to procede or if the actation server is down then it will fail too and yes if a wong digit is enetered then yes that will fail too as it is designed to do
