it doesn't say if it's a 64 bit version compatible, i say if you have a 32 bit computer try it on that and see if the problem is still there, a lot of people have problems trying to get the game to install on a 64 bit computer.
See http://dejenol.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3948
1. Try turnin off UAC and running in Windows XP mode as administrator.
2. try installing to a different folder that doesn't use the virtual folders system of Vista\Windows 7 i.e. don't install to the Program Files folder.
3. Turn off virtual store and UAC (that's bad for your security though, better to use following procedure). VirtualStore creates what's called a "virtualization" -- a fictious presence of a file or a folder in some location, but its actual location being somewhere else. to fix this you access the local security policy:
Press the start key in you keyboard and type Local in it's search box and you will see the Local Security Policy icon on top.
You will tell the operating system that Dejenol is trustworthy in your opinion, and that the OS won't need to worry about virtualizing its files to protect you! see https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B_JIBYcrqYoOSXZFdnVzN1BUU1k
The best solution is to install a virtual machine and then install an older version of Windows - the dejenol web site tells you how to do this, the virtual machine software is free but you will need a valid copy of an older Windows OS.
This game is a 16-bit application and will not run on a 64-bit OS (Microsoft does not provide16-bit compatibility in their 64-bit OSs). If you have Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate you can use XP mode (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx/) to run this.
Otherwise you could dual boot with a 32-bit OS or install one in a 3rd party virtual machine.
