GamersGate - VOID
Europa Universalis 2 refuses to install
Hi,my roblem is that everytime I try to install this game it either
1.trys to load the ad at the top and then sit there in limbo forever
2.I get some error message which I think is about the ad
at the moment the game is stuck on four percent and then moves a couple percent points before trying to load the ad at which point it freezes. But earlier I was getting some sort of error message. I have downloaded Darkest Hour here before with no problems at all.
I'm running XP and have tried to download both in Chrome and Internet Explorer to see if that would maybe work, no luck.

Do you have any ad-blocking software installed? Do you have Your browser security settings set to the highest?
Any of these two can easily block ad addresses from being connected to, so would obviously show an error message.
But it could be a server error also, or even a pathing error from your ISP being unable to send data to that specific ad's server.
It sometimes shows an error but most of the time it just's freezes when it tries to change to a different ad.I have tried to turn off parts of my antivirus blocking the ads, now sometimes it still only gets to like 4.0 percent before freezing and other times it plays the ad but still freezes when it changes to a different ad.
I wouldn't worry about your Antivirus doing that, its more likely to be any Anti-Malware/Spyware programs you have installed.
Or you may need to update your .net framework 3.5 and 4.0.
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=22 -- for 3.5
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851 -- for 4.0 if you have Vista or 7 as your Operating System.
Have you tried completely disabling your anti-virus temporarily while you download?
Other users have had similar problems with AV software and had to try a few methods of disabling it before they could get the download to finish: http://www.gamersgate.co.uk/gametutor?issue=237723
I do not know what SP3 is.I'll try just totally shutting off my AV because up to this point I have only turned off parts of it.
Okay I have turned almost all of my AV shields except for the like the mail shield and and a couple others that I know are not affecting the install. But now I get an error message about how the script had an error or something and almost certain that yet again it had to with the ads.
