I did the "preorder" for East India Company

Under "My games" a download button already exists.

The game install has come to the serial code entry.

There is not currently a serial code displaying under "My Games" for EIC.

I take it I need to wait a few days to get the serial code?

Yes, you should regard this as a 'pre-load' of the game so you won't have to download it when it officially comes out.
